We're very happy to tell you that the APV for Plan-t Your Future is just finished and went VERY VERY VERY WELL!

All the leaders and all the Italian team actively participated in the process and we're really proud to say that we definitely did a GREAT JOB!

Here we want to show you the AMAZING place in which we'll stay: it's a house in San Pancrazio, near Chianti.
We'll be staying here for 5 days, before moving to the centre of Firenze!

We like idea of French team about forum-theater. For us, it will be interesting to participate.

When I realized that from today, 1st January 2008 there are 100 days to go for the realization of our project... I was amazed!

How can it be that we randomly choose a significant date like that? It must have been destiny or faith that has accompanied us along the path.

So everybody: we'll have a great 2008 and a great exchange for sure.

hello everybody!

we had a meeting with the french team and we had different ideas and questions concerning the program
The session that we are interested to lead:
1/ for the monday
morning mainly, we have thinking about a forum theatre (express explication: we will prepare some short sketch about environmental situation. After each group have played his sketch, they will play it again. The "public" will choice to see again some sketch. but at this stage, anybody can interact in the scene in order to change the situation, try to find solution... and place at the improvisation!!! is it clear?) and before we have thought about differents game of improvisation (hellish machine ...) to relax and prepare all of us to do theatre. We will not propose a workshop around the thematic of water only, but some issue about waste of water can be plaiyed in this theater forum. This session can enter on the monday morning (Role game on Environment and Sunstainable Development) or on the Tuesday afternoon. Up to you to give us feedback, and to place it where you want in the programme!

2/ also we are okay to prepare the first morning of discovering each other (names games and group building ...)

3/ concerning artistic recycling we thought that it will be very funny if one people of each country (not only one country) organise this activity (for example one artistic creation for one country and people can turn on differents activity or all the country for one creation ...) a great melting pot =) no ?! And it could be totally realistic to have this internationnal team, that can organise by herself during all the begining of the trainning... what do you think about this proposal?

Hi we are the group from France!

As we promised you, here is our answer about
PLAN T YOUR FUTURE

First we are very agree with the idea to do a city-hunt in Florence, like we are agree with the 10 simple rules but we know a woman who has done a DOSSIER with 50 propositions about sustainable development so we can bring it into Italy.
Then about the idea to clean Florence’s street we think that it could be more shocking to show the situation to people, and provocate some interaction with inhabitants.

We propose also the theme of Water say what do you think about it ?

Concerning the dates of the project we can be available between 11 an 2O April 2008 an we haven't got problem with APV 's date too.

Also we confirm that we are partners of the project , that our group is composed by Aline , Julien and probably Théo and Anna.

So we are engaged with you and we hope that you will partners into our project of seminary (Partnership Building activity) about environment in France. The main idea would be to discover different NGO’s that work around environmental issue, in order to create will to develop future projects in the future.

Draft Youth Exchange Programme

Here is the draft programme we have for you.

Please take a look at it and comment comment comment... all the possible suggestions are very important for the YOUTH EXCHANGE in FIRENZE (see the picture here).

First of all:
- the daily schedule will be defined in the APV with all the partners, this is only a proposal!
- we will use public transport, buses and bicycles (if we find them for all of you!) for the transfers
- we ask you to think about organizing some of the activities (who wants to organize?)

You should then gather your teams and:

Choose which sessions you would like to prepare and animate;
Start to think about methods to use, in order to discuss concrete proposals during the APV. Tell us everykind of methodologic suggestion now, so that we can include it in the project. In particular if you can think of learning methods.
Choose an International evening to be part. In the APV we will finalise food and materials;
To post pictures and information about each other in the blog.

Youth Exchange in Italy: Let's Start!

Partners: Italy - Eurotrain (host organization), Greece - Cia on behalf of the group in Corfu, France - Luciole, Estonia - Academy of Childhood, Lithuania - LPR and Spain - Nexes.
We would like all of you partners to be involved in the organization of the exchange in all its parts. That's why we really need your contribution.

Title: We have a proposal for the name of the project:

PLAN-T YOUR FUTURE!

Dates: We were thinking about the activity dates. We would like to make it happen in late spring (so that you all can enjoy the beatiful italian weather better), preferably in mid-April (approximately 11-20 April 2008). The APV would then be in February.

Could you tell us what you think about it and/or if you have any problem with these dates?

Ideas: We've some ideas on the specific themes and activities of the project that we would like to share with you and you can give us your feedback on them.

1. We are planning to stay both in the countryside and in the city. This is made because we think that the rural and urban way of life are different and we would like to explore the different way of reacting to environment in these two. Also, speaking about nature, it can be nice to appreciate it for real and not in the middle of Florence!

2. General objects:

analyze the situation of climate in the world and in particular in the EU through a comparison of our countries to raise awareness on this matters as the new threatens of our generation future;
discuss about our ways of life (intercultural dialogue, tolerance);
reflect on our behaviour, especially relating to the exploitation and waste of energy and elaborate new common strategies to find original ways of preventing this in our everyday life;
discuss the role of the EU and of our governments on international agreements in environmental matters (es. Kyoto);
analyze the way in which the media present the subject and reflect on alternative ways of communicating to our social networks these themes.

3. Specific objects and activities:

vision of the Al Gore documentary film on environment "An Inconvenient Truth" or "Darwin’s nightmare" by Hubert Sauper and role-game on climate situation;
intercultural evenings (focus on ways of life);
production of a decalogue (10 simple rules) of good practices of consumption (to decrease waste of energy and to re-use, re-cycle our resourses) - transnational groups discuss on these and arrive at a conclusion all together. This document can be also released to our social networks;
City-hunt in Florence to look for italian way of life in relation of sustainable development (es. see how much re-cycling facilities there are, pollution levels, alternative public transport, waste of energy in families and businesses);
activity on how media picture environmental issues;
volunteering to clean public areas with Legambiente or Greenpeace;
discussion and debate with someone that is active in this field (responsible for environment-focused NGOs);
activity on international treaties4.

We were also thinking of setting a time schedule of several themes to discuss (for example one per month) all together and thus arrive at the exchange with more ideas and a common platform to start from for our activities.
